The opportunity

Based in the Innovation and Business department, the main focus of the role is to provide administrative and business development support to the Project team, who manage student and graduate projects with commercial clients at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.

This will be a varied and challenging role working across different business areas involving a wide range of clients. You will play a key role in the department acting as the main point of contact, ensuring  initial client enquiries are handled effectively and opportunities maximised. The role will also involve researching prospective clients which will enhance a pro-active business development approach in the department.

You will attend important client meetings along with business managers and ensure all actions are noted and dealt with. You will also aid in the development of client proposals and project materials, as well as ensuring all publicity materials arising from college collaborations are fully approved by the External Relations and academic teams. You will also support the operational requirements of student and graduate projects. The role will require the effective development of relationships with various teams across the College in order to fulfil your duties.

About you

We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level or has a relevant qualification and is capable of managing a varied and demanding workload. The successful candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented and enjoy working in a busy, sales-driven environment. They will have experience of working with clients and supporting business development activities in a similar role. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic with excellent communication skills. They will show initiative and enthusiasm in their daily work and be able to prioritise tasks effectively. They will have experience of working to a high standard both in a team environment and independently.
