The opportunity

Come be a part of a team based at London College of Fashion that is building the future of the industry. By joining the Fashion Innovation Agency (FIA) as our Creative Technologist within AR/VR/MR, you will be involved in every aspect of the project development process, from brainstorming the next great project innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch; as well as having the opportunity to work with some of the world’s largest brands from both fashion and technology. You will help us design new ways for people to create, connect and design using the unique qualities of this immediate and immersive new medium.

We are looking for an experienced and talented AR/VR/MR designer to conceptualize, illustrate, build and deliver innovative interaction paradigms for the fashion industry. You will be expected to independently sketch, design, previz, animate, prototype, script and execute. A positive and collaborative attitude is required. We are looking for a self-motivated problem solver with impeccable communication skills. The ideal candidate should also have a deep understanding of immersive 3D UI and have strong Unity prototyping skills.

The purpose of the role is to design & develop proof of concepts and subsequently content for AR apps, MR or VR headsets. The Creative Technologist will have expertise in 3D design and user experience that will enhance the existing expertise of the FIA team. The ability to undertake development of such content for which UAL owns the IP will enable FIA to demonstrate relevant expertise for its external consultancy projects, its industry workshops, and for student projects as well as the ability to develop and deliver new commercial short courses.  It will also place LCF in a better to position to respond to public funding bids and deliver on the opportunities being developed through these and the current LCF Enterprise projects – DeFINE and Edu4Fashion Tech, as well as the University’s Business of Fashion & Textiles Technology (BoFTT) collaborative R&D project.
