The opportunity

UAL Awarding Body is expanding. To meet strong demand from the sectors we serve we are recruiting to a number of new posts across a range of job functions and roles. The role of Senior Quality Officer is one of these new posts. To join us, you'll need a proven track record working either in a regulated exam board or in the Further or Higher Education sectors.

Working closely with the other Senior Quality Officer, and managing a team of four administrative assistants, the Senior Quality Officer, Operations will jointly ensure that all core processes and operations, from qualification and centre approval, through to student registration and certification are efficient, effective and regulatorally compliant. A key requirement is that processes and operations continue to facilitate the delivery of exemplary customer service by minimising the administrative burden on centre staff, examiners and moderators.

About you

Degree educated or with an equivalent professional qualification, you'll have an understanding of UALab qualifications, educational frameworks and the requirements of educational regulatory bodies such as Ofqual. You'll also have knowledge and understanding of the General Conditions of Recognition (GCR) and of risk-based quality assurance processes for qualifications. You'll have previously contributed to an Ofqual self-evaluation exercise and have experience of centre and qualification approval and monitoring. Experience of working with external verification and/or external moderation quality assurance models is desirable.

You'll also have experience of using database and spreadsheet applications in an educational quality assurance context. Able to work independently with accuracy and attention to detail, you excel at analysing, interpreting and presenting complex information and data.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension scheme and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.
