The opportunity

This is a unique opportunity, sponsored by Neal’s Yard Remedies, to develop and locate your post-doctoral research practice within the research aims and remit of Centre for Sustainable Fashion (CSF), a University of the Arts Research Centre based at London College of Fashion (LCF). Within the context of fashion, you will investigate design activism as part of the field of study of design for sustainability and contribute to related CSF projects. You will use practice-based research to define and extend understanding of design activism in fashion and develop research projects, methods and outcomes that will contribute to the profile of CSF and LCF both nationally and internationally.  The role will also involve contributing to the development of curricula and student teaching and learning in these fields. The post will support outcomes and impacts of the College and contribute to its events as required.

About you

With a PhD in a relevant area and a relevant postgraduate qualification, you will hold significant knowledge of fashion for sustainability. You will have the ability to collaborate on and evidence leadership in academic and/or professional development of your own area of expertise within the University. You will be a confident and clear communicator with the ability to adapt your delivery to suit audiences in addition to having good interpersonal and IT skills. You will be a keen problem solver, and have the ability to initiate processes and procedures to resolve difficulties in a practical way. Most importantly, you will thrive working as part of a dynamic team.
