The opportunity

As the Space Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating bookings in shared spaces, working with relevant teams, including Timetabling, AV Support, and Facilities, to ensure rooms are ready for booked activities and arrange additional support where necessary.

You will be an integral part of the Building Operations team, helping to schedule Estates-led activities (maintenance, redecoration, refurbishment projects) to minimise disruption to the College’s activities.

You will be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of the College, and identify opportunities to optimise the use of space, in ways which support and enhance the end user experience.

Although you will typically be based at one of CCW’s sites, you may be called upon to cover other sites as required, and will need to develop a good working knowledge of the other sites within CCW.

About you

We are looking for somebody with a track record of using systems to optimise the use of space and maintain accurate records. You will be able to quickly adapt to changing priorities, organise your work load to achieve objectives in a timely manner and will work on your own initiative to identify and advise on ways to enhance space utilisation.

You will be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. In addition you will be confident liaising with a variety of end users, as well as working with the relevant support teams.

Interviews are scheduled to take place on the 14th of December 2022.

Should you have any questions about the post, please contact Sirisa Clark, Head of College Building Operations, CCW at s.clark@arts.ac.uk.

Should you have any questions about the application process or require reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Aruna Dhinakaran, Resourcing Assistant at jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk.

Previous experience of working within a front-facing, busy office environment is essential, together with a good knowledge of IT software packages and administrative processes. Experience working within a Higher Education institution would be advantageous but not essential.
