The opportunity

An exciting vacancy has arisen in the Performance Design & Technologies Programme at Wimbledon College of Arts, within the subject area of BA Theatre Design.

 

As a Senior Lecturer within the Theatre Design team you’ll be responsible for contributing to and developing the course’s academic direction and delivery.

 

We are particularly interested in applicants with theatre design competencies in both digital and analogue approaches and your professional skills will inform and motivate our students’ practice and learning opportunities. 

 

You’ll be an agile collaborator and your knowledge and skills will ensure subject relevance, currency and innovation in the subject area. The post holder will take on the responsibility of Unit Leader, undertaking the associated administration and quality assurance related to the delivery of specified unit(s) to ensure the smooth running of BA (Hons) Theatre Design.

About you

The ideal candidate will have a background in the area of theatre/performance design and knowledge and experience of theatre/performance design within an industry and research context.

 

You’ll have a degree and a postgraduate qualification in a related subject area or equivalent demonstrated through practice and a recognised teaching qualification.  You’ll have experience of teaching at undergraduate level, assessment and student feedback along with excellent communication skills.

 

You’ll have the ability to collaborate as part of an academic team as well as contributing to the wider Performance Design & Technologies Programme and UAL communities.
