We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and ambitious Creative R&D Partnership ProjectManager to help manage an exciting new multi-disciplinary collaborative R&D project: The Business of Fashion, Textiles & Technology (BFTT). Based at the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London (UAL), you will support the BFTT Project Directors and research team in the management of the research & development programme in fulfilment of the project deliverables. You will be a highly motivated individual, you will significantly contribute to the success of this major AHRC-funded research project involving collaboration with academic, industry and public sector partners, providing support to the project, identifying and allocating appropriate levels of resource and managing the critical path to achieve the project deliverablesas they are defined in the grant and partner collaboration agreements. 

University of the Arts London has been awarded one of nine game-changing multi-million pound Creative R&D Partnerships (CRDP) as part of the Government’s investment in the UK’s creative industries, under the banner of the flagship Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund initiative.  Over the next five years, the Arts & Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Clusters Programme will strengthen the creative industries’ position as vital to UK economic growth and resilience, and provide direct links into shaping Government policy.  As one of six UAL colleges, LCF contributed to the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2014), where UAL’s research was assessed as being 83% World Leading and international, is first in the Power ranking for Art and Design: History, Practice and Theory. LCF research feeds directly into the University of the Arts London Research Strategy.

You have a first degree and a postgraduate qualification or research experience.  In particular, you will have relevant experience of managing high-value research projects with multiple partners (including financial/budget management, spreadsheets), for example large HEI research / R&D project, e.g. EU H2020, ERDF, UKRI-funded projects. Also experience of organising events/workshops/ conferences, monitoring of budgets, project promotion and marketing including effective use of online media, writing research project reports, writing bid funding and disseminating research information.
