Are you passionate about communications and about the creative arts? If so, we are looking to recruit two exceptional Communications Managers to join our team and work across our globally renowned university.

Working with colleagues in the centre, at our six colleges and the Students’ Union, you will lead joined-up, proactive and comprehensive communications through a variety of channels across the university. This will include telling compelling stories; leading on key projects and campaigns and initiatives; promoting college and university-wide initiatives, helping to plan and deliver a programme of activities and events as well as change communications related to a major redevelopment programmes for two of our colleges. You will also have line responsibility for four Communications Executives.

University of the Arts London is a vibrant world centre for creativity, bringing together six colleges with international reputations in art, design, fashion, communication and performing arts. We have around 20,000 students and 5,000 staff, based at six colleges across London.

We provide transformative education and world-leading research and enterprise and are at the centre of public debate for the future of arts, design, fashion and communication and an inspirational environment for students, staff and wider communities. We are engaged in a number of major change programmes over the next five years, including moves for two of our largest colleges, London College of Communication and London College of Fashion. We aim to be an equal opportunities employer embracing diversity in all areas of activity.

You will be an organised, enthusiastic and a hard-working manager who has had previous experience in a similar leadership role. You will be a first-class communicator who is able to create great relationships with people at all levels. You’ll be digitally savvy and have exceptional writing skills as well as excellent IT skills, including design software. You will have experience of leading and delivering coordinated communications to a wide audience. Previous experience of working in a university would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate. And it goes without saying you’ll be passionate about communications and about the creative arts.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive salary and pension plus a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.

Interviews to take place on the 4th and 8th of February 2019
