The opportunity

Based at London College of Fashion’s West London site in Shepherds Bush, you will coordinate the operation and development of professional standard Media facilities as well as the core delivery of a broad range of technical skills workshops and associated online resources. You will also line-manage a team of Specialist Teaching and Learning Technicians and Support Technicians.

Reporting to the Technical Manager for Media, Communication and Performance and liaising with both technical and academic course teams you will coordinate the delivery of contemporary and innovative technical curriculum in Media that includes Photography, Moving Image, Design and Publication, Styling, Digital Image and Technology and Innovation, contributing to the College strategic vision for Technology Enhanced Learning.

You will take a lead role in the coordination of internal School exhibitions and collaborate in the planning and production of external press shows.

You will contribute your expert knowledge and experience where needed within University of the Arts London and, with an extensive Estates project to relocate the College campus within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park’s Cultural and Education Quarter, you will provide specialist experience to inform this landmark project.

About you

You will have experience coordinating and delivering technical services at scale. You will be familiar with industry trends and potential disruptions within the media industry with practical experience in at least some of the specialist Media subject areas listed above.

Teaching experience or a familiarity with effective and innovative pedagogical approaches are essential.

You will have the ability to lead a team effectively, including setting clear objectives to manage performance, providing clear feedback on performance and planning development journeys.

You may occasionally be required to be flexible with your work time arrangements in order to support ad-hoc events that occur out of the normal working hours.
