The opportunity


UAL are seeking to invest in an experienced Configuration specialist in Windows client technologies to develop, maintain and support Windows operating systems and applications. You will be involved with integrating into back-end Windows environments as well as other back end services. You will take part in maintaining, developing and supporting the change & release of operating systems, applications, security and policies within the Windows desktop environment. You will be responsible for packaging and releasing changes to the Windows client environment across the University.


 

About you

  • Strong experience of Windows client configuration is essential
  • Experience of taking a lead and acting as a Subject Matter Expert is required
  • Experience of the following would be highly desirable with a focus on management technologies including: Windows 10, ZENworks (or other management framework such as SCCM), Scripting (Batch, VB & PowerShell), Windows Server, Group Policies and AMT
  • Any exposure to Scripting, VMWare Workstation InTune would be advantageous
  • Integration experience of windows into back-end windows environments

Communication

  • You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments
  • Effective oral and written communication skills ,with a logical and sensible approach to tasks
  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
