The opportunity

We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and ambitious postdoctoral research fellow, ready to undertake collaborative research on an exciting new research project funded under the AHRC Digital Skills Pilots Call July 2022. The research project will investigate inclusive approaches to advanced digital research skills for marginalised arts and humanities researchers, with the aim of developing a scalable national or regional pilot.

You will support the UAL Principal Investigator (PI), Co-Investigators (Co-Is), project partners and participants to develop an inclusive model for the development of an advanced digital research skills curriculum. You will independently research, collate and document key aspects of the project and facilitate its effective and efficient delivery, in accordance with guidance from the PI and project team. You will assist in designing and coordinating co-creation methodologies for the project and in their execution and evaluation. You will contribute to the project communications, internal and external networks, and final outputs of the research.

About you

You will be proactive and have a hands-on approach to problem-solving and have relevant experience of digital research methods and requisite skills for arts and humanities, as well as intersectional, inclusive and participatory pedagogies and research methodologies. The ideal candidate will have specific expertise and/or willingness and capacity to learn at least one of the following: data wrangling, analytics, computational data analysis, and/or data visualisation.

We welcome applications for this post from all qualified candidates and particularly welcome applications from members of minority ethnic groups.

If you have any queries about this role or need any reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Twinkle Brahmbhatt, Senior Resourcing Adviser via email at RKEEstaffrecruitment@arts.ac.uk or 020 7514 2965.
