Finance Project Support and Training Coordinator

Working across Finance and Academic Enterprise this post will provide project support to the Finance Business Systems and Academic Enterprise supporting Finance initiatives aimed at enhancing and supporting the Finance IT provision within the University. This will include providing project support to existing projects with the rollout of Expenses and the implementation of a new Learner Management System and e-Commerce system.
The successful candidate will also manage the Finance training courses provided across the University, support Finance in developing and maintaining the new Finance intranet website, provide support for the Associate Directors of Finance and build effective business relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

The department of Academic Enterprise (AE) leads the University of the Arts London’s third stream income operations and is integral to the University’s long term development. Its mission is to increase the amount of income generated by the University from non-core teaching and research activities. It builds on, and includes, the successful UAL Short Courses Ltd, UAL Awarding Body, the Language Centre, and college and research based enterprise, business and innovation operations.
Finance are system business owners of the Finance MIS (ABW), the Accommodation Services system (Kinetics) and the AE learner management system (LMS) Course Manager.
You will need to have strong organisational and administrative experience. You will be a highly organised individual with experience of diary management, arranging meetings for large numbers of people and communicating to large numbers in a clear and well-articulated format. Be familiar with Financial and project management terminology and methodology and have experience of accurate minute taking and distributing them in a timely manner that is clear to all. It is desirable that you will have experience with handling confidential matters in a professional and discreet manner.
You will have a competent level of IT skills to enable best use of available information and communication for the post. This includes Microsoft applications, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook.
