Supporting the Book Arts and Design workshop within the highly technical and vibrant Print and Type department, this role will assist students from courses across the College, including Foundation, BA Graphic Design, BA Photography and MA Graphics.

As a support technician the successful applicant will be expected to assist the specialist technical staff with their day-to-day duties. Tasks will include ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all facilities and specialized equipment, prepare materials as requested ahead of workshops and taught activities and where necessary provide students with one to one support during the session.

The successful applicant will work alongside technicians and academics within the college to ensure students are trained in the safe, innovative and professional use of the College’s technical resources. Applicants are required to have experience working within a Book Arts workshop and have proficiency in binding techniques and disciplines.
