This is a new role, working as part of the Programmes and Projects Team you will be responsible for a portfolio of change projects, working with senior stakeholders to plan and deliver the portfolio.

You will represent IT Services on key project boards, working with the Head of Project Delivery to scope and cost projects, work with IT Services senior management team to resource the portfolio and you will be an escalation point– for project managers and senior stakeholders.

You will also project manage one of the priority change projects in the portfolio of independent projects as well as line managing the project managers of independent projects (currently four) and leading on good  practice within the portfolio.

This is an exciting role working at a senior level within IT Services and the organisation.

You will be an experienced project manager who has managed and delivered multiple large scale, complex projects. You will be able to demonstrate experience of leading people and being able to build and motivate colleagues to be active and high-performing team members. You will have significant experience of working with senior stakeholders being able to manage their concerns, influence them and become a partner to them in the delivery of change.

To be successful in this role you must be able to manage ambiguity and lead others through it, managing changing circumstances through adaptable ways of working.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of different approaches to project delivery, provisioning resources across multiple projects, ability to prioritise and problem solve.
