The opportunity

This is a unique role in Library Services, working with the Scholarly Communications Manager to maintain our leading open access repository UAL Research Online; assisting users with the deposit process, ensuring compliance with repository workflows, and HEFCE's Open Access Policy. You will also review self-deposited research outputs, working with authors, publishers, funders, and university staff to ensure high quality content in UALRO, and assist with the administration of the deposit of electronic theses.

About you

We’re looking for someone with either a degree in Library and Information Studies or equivalent, or a degree in any subject plus a postgraduate qualification in Library and Information Studies or equivalent, as relevant to the post.

You will have knowledge of scholarly communications and the role of open access repositories in the HE research environment, and knowledge of the arts research environment. 

Experience of using software that supports scholarly communications or research management (especially Eprints and Symplectic Elements) is desirable. You will also be an effective communicator, and be able to provide clear guidance using various communication channels.
