The opportunity
We are now seeking an exceptional academic and strategic leader to serve as Provost of London College of Communication and Executive Dean for Impact and Innovation. This dual role offers the opportunity to lead one of UAL’s most dynamic and future-facing Colleges while shaping the University’s global ambition for innovation, enterprise and societal impact.
As Provost, you will lead the College Executive team to deliver academic, strategic and operational leadership across London College of Communication. You will nurture a diverse and world-leading community of teaching, research and industry partnerships, ensuring that students develop the critical, creative and technical excellence needed to succeed in design, media and screen. You will guide an outstanding student journey from application to graduation, assuring quality, academic standards, student satisfaction and graduate outcomes.
As Executive Dean for Impact and Innovation, you will lead one of the five pillars of UAL’s strategy by advancing knowledge and creative practice that deliver positive impact locally and globally. You will position UAL as a leader in innovation, building cross-sector partnerships and aligning University initiatives with regional and national priorities. Working with the Pro Vice-Chancellors for Research, Knowledge Exchange and Enterprise, and Education and Students, you will shape collaboration across key themes such as AI and creative technologies, sustainability, social and economic impact and civic engagement.

You will have a proven record of delivering exceptional student experience and outcomes, high academic standards and deep knowledge of the creative and cultural sectors. With senior leadership experience in higher education and expertise in research, knowledge exchange, impact and innovation, you will inspire others to make creativity a force for change.
