The opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Research Assistant to be part of this prestigious project. You will assist a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant to conduct research to understand and explore attitudes to learning disabled and autistic people and their communities. The research will feature a range of approaches, using mobile, online data collection, and in-person survey-based methods. You will work under supervision to analyse data through a combination of qualitative, thematic methods, quantitative statistical techniques, and data science approaches.

About you

You will have a Masters qualification or equivalent experience in either Sociology, Psychology, Human Factors, or an intersecting discipline. You will ideally have research experience a relevant area, such as accessibility, learning disabilities research, autism research or a related field. Some experience of qualitative and quantitative research tools such as NVivo, R and / or Python is preferred.
