The opportunity

Are you passionate about communications and about the creative arts? If so, we are looking to recruit an exceptional Communications Manager to join our team and work across our globally renowned university.

Working with colleagues in the centre, at our six colleges and the Students’ Union, you will lead joined-up, proactive and comprehensive internal and external communications through a variety of channels across the university. This will include telling compelling stories; leading on key projects and campaigns and initiatives; promoting college and university-wide initiatives, helping to plan and deliver a programme of activities and events as well as change communications related to a major redevelopment programmes for two of our college. You will also have line responsibility for four Communications Executives.

About you

You will be an organised, enthusiastic and a hard-working manager who has had previous experience in a similar communications leadership role. You will be a first-class communicator who is able to create great relationships with people at all levels. You’ll be digitally savvy and have exceptional writing skills as well as excellent IT skills, including design software. You will have experience of leading and delivering coordinated communications to a wide audience. Previous experience of working in a university would be an advantage but is not essential for the right candidate. And it goes without saying you’ll be passionate about communications and about the creative arts.
