The opportunity

This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join our Photography Programme within the Media School at London College of Communication. With knowledge and experience relating to photojournalism and/or documentary photography theory and practice (and their interchange) you will be responsible for year leadership, teaching, assessment, unit management and curriculum development. You will provide pastoral and academic support to our diverse student community along with monitoring their progress and attendance and maintaining appropriate records. You will be responsible to the Course Leader for the delivery of units within the course and demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of both theory and practice. In this role you’ll contribute ongoing scholarship and work collaboratively with the course team in BA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography, thus deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions. Your contributions will extend the level of subject expertise and critical understanding on the BA Photojournalism and Documentary Photography Course and keep the curriculum at the forefront of creative and professional practice.
