The opportunity

The Design School (LCC) seeks a senior lecturer in User Experience design, with a particular focus on supporting and leading the design research directions in experience design. The role also involves contributing to curriculum development in the domain of embodied and situated design practice, while working with the community of practice in questioning assumptions in user experience design. As a senior lecturer you are responsible for teaching, administration, assessment, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship within the discipline. You will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and the support students receive in order to enable them to complete their studies successfully.

You will also work with the Course Leaders, students and colleagues across the college in promoting and developing the subjects through conferences, public exhibitions and other contributions to research and knowledge exchange. You will develop partnerships and collaborations with industry and academic partners as well as bring your own research and/or practice to bear on the development of the subject and the course.
