To undertake attainment development work as directed by the Head of Attainment Team, with a focus on identity and cultural experience as key sites of intervention to reduce attainment differentials between white students and students of colour.

To work in partnership with students and staff to enhance educational practice in relation to diversity, inclusivity and student attainment through project leadership, educational development and scholarship, aligned to the priorities of the University of the Arts London Attainment Programme. 

To align attainment work to the University’s Academic Enhancement Model to ensure that work supports Colleges’ enhancement priorities.

  • You have a degree and a post-graduate degree in a related discipline (arts or education).
  • You have specific knowledge about attainment differentials in HE related to identity and cultural experience.
  • You have experience in working with creative educators to reduce attainment differentials and experience of leading identity and cultural experience initiatives that support attainment.
  • You have excellent presentation skills and communicate effectively orally and in writing, adapting the message for a diverse audience in an inclusive and accessible way.
  • You have worked with student representatives to address attainment differentials and can coordinate diverse teams of students and staff setting clear objectives.
  • You apply innovative approaches to course leadership, teaching, learning or professional practice to support excellent teaching, pedagogy and inclusivity.
  • You can apply own research to develop learning and assessment practice and contribute to advancing professional practice/research or scholarly activity in own area of specialism.
  • It would be desirable if you had knowledge in relation to implicit bias and stereotype threat.
