£33,090- £40,638 per annum

This role will contribute to the growth in the UAL Study Abroad’s integrated, semester and summer programmes through creative and effective marketing and student engagement activities across the UAL’s six colleges: Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW), London College of Communication (LCC), London College of Fashion (LCF) and Central Saint Martins (CSM).

Working in the AE strategic marketing and sales team, the role will lead the student engagement, agent relationship management, and marketing and communication activities across a range of B2B and B2C marketing channels for UAL Study Abroad. In addition to this central role, the post holder will also strategically advise and collaborate with the Study Abroad Development Manager and marketing and communication teams at the UAL’s six colleges – Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon (CCW), London College of Communication (LCC), London College of Fashion (LCF) and Central Saint Martins (CSM) – to create effective and measurable marketing and student engagement activities.

The University of the Arts London is recognised around the world as a leading institution for teaching and research in arts, design, fashion, communication and the performing arts.

This post is part of the newly established cross-UAL Department of Academic Enterprise (AE) which aims to increase the amount of income and surplus generated by the University from non-core teaching and research activities. Academic Enterprise not only integrates and bolsters a wide range of business and client-facing work across the University, but also develops new products and services for new and existing markets.

Academic Enterprise is a successful, growing, matrix department that meets the needs of 70,000 students on short courses, as well as FE courses in colleges outside UAL. Its units had a combined turnover of £29m in 2015/16, mostly from B2C activities. More specifically, the International Study Abroad area has an expected annual turnover of £4.5 million and recruits and delivers to over 950 students annually, coming from 90 different countries and six continents.

We are looking for a creatively-focused marketing and student recruitment professional with a successful track record in the higher education sector. The successful candidate will also need to be able to deliver on the two key elements of the role: marketing through various channels to key stakeholders for Study Abroad (students, parents, sending institutes and universities, and agents), and student engagement through creating engaging social media/blog content and managing the key engagement touchpoints throughout the student journey and student experience with UAL. You will need to be experienced in developing marketing and student recruitment plans reviewing international markets trends and student recruitment performance targets. In addition, we are looking for an effective oral and written communicator with experience and/or a strong interest in the creative education markets and wider creative industries.

In return, the University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension, and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. If you have any queries you may contact
