The opportunity

This exciting role will play a pivotal part in defining and developing existing digital and new technologies across the College. You will play an integral part in ensuring that students at LCC have access to the fullest range of technical resources and experience the latest in emerging and digital technologies, and that those resources are being used safely and efficiently. Supporting the Head of Technical Resources, you will assist in leading a large team of Technical Coordinators and technical staff. You will help plan access to technical facilities, take charge of the day-to-day running of teams and oversee and contribute to the implementation of College technical projects. As LCC prepares to move into a new building, you will play a vital role in the project, defining new technical spaces and resources across the College.

As an active member of the technical management group, you will contribute to the technical resources strategy by providing vital information and know-how to the Head of Technical Resources, as well as sitting on a range of committees and organisational groups. In the absence of the Head of Technical Resources, you will be asked to deputise where necessary.

About you

You will ideally have extensive technical experience in one or more of the fields of film, TV, sound arts, photography or digital arts. You will have managed people and resources. Good operational skills with a thorough understanding of digital and new technology are essential requirements for the successful applicant.

You will have experience managing projects and budgets effectively. Above all, you will have the drive to lead continual improvements in our technical resource offering, ensuring that LCC remains a leading institution in cutting edge technological delivery.

Above all we are looking for a creative individual who can effectively manage and implement new resources and provide leadership to a multi-skilled and talented group of technical staff.
