The opportunity

The Communications and Media programme sits within the Media School and offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses focused on the theory and practice of media, communication and applied communication.

We currently have vacancies for Associate Lecturers to teach across the Communications and Media programme, including on the Public Relations courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. We are particularly keen to hear from applicants with a background in academia or in practice in public relations, digital media, and strategic communications to work with our core teams on creative-led student projects in print, digital and moving image. Previous teaching experience at HE or on professional courses is desirable.

Applicants may be researchers with established profiles in public relations, media and communication digital communications, or practitioners with extensive industry knowledge. Both will have a strong commitment to the advancement of their field and an ability to work as part of a team.

About you

Your main responsibility as an Associate Lecturer will be preparation, teaching, administration and assessment of units or part units of study, including supervision. You will make a significant contribution to the quality of learning and support our students in successfully completing their studies.

You will work closely with other academic staff, including the Programme Director and Course Leader.
