The opportunity

As Diversity Manager (Equalities Benchmarks), you will play a key role supporting UAL’s aspirations for recognition of its extensive commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) as it works towards the Race Equality Charter Mark, Disability Confident and Stonewall benchmarks.

You will develop a comprehensive University Data and Intelligence Enhancement Programme across all equality strands including both qualitative and quantitative elements using expertise in research, undertaking consultations and focus groups and data analysis.

You will assist in the co-ordination and delivery of accreditation action plans ensuring engagement from project leads across the University.

About you

Your passion for equality, diversity and inclusion will be demonstrated by specific, evidenced accomplishments in this field – particularly in relation to the employee experience – and preferably in the higher education and creative and cultural sectors.

You will be an EDI data and information specialist experienced in identifying and interrogating institutional and sector data and research to identify outcomes, trends and gaps.

A self-starter, you will be skilled in driving culture change in matrix organisations, using accreditations, benchmarks and awards as a further tool for progress; whilst embedding outcomes into ‘business as usual’ throughout the University.

You will be highly effective at engaging and influencing stakeholders, comfortable working in an HR environment whilst adapting style and communication approaches to our creative and higher education context.

An efficient but flexible planner and organiser, your project management skills will ensure that the University is supported to work towards agreed milestones with clearly established accountability lines.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, a final salary pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.

UAL reserves the right to close the deadline early if there are a considerable number of applications.
