The opportunity
The Senior Lecturer in Illustration: Joint Year Leader is responsible for teaching, course development, and on-going scholarship on the Illustration Programme. This Programme is part of the Design School at CCW. The post-holder will work with the course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.
The post-holder will be expected to undertake:
•Collaboratively lead Year 2 on BA (Hons) Illustration.
•Responsibility for a year group of undergraduate students’ pastoral support, progress and attendance, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate.
•Pedagogic and curriculum development to stimulate thought and practice that challenges the canon of integrated theory and practice with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity.
About you
You will possess an Undergraduate degree in Illustration or an associated subject and hold experience of teaching and assessment in a higher education environment.
You will be able to plan, prioritise and manage resources and time effectively to achieve objectives, working in an organised manner, effectively both within team and across different professional groups.
You will be able to collaboratively lead a year group, and be responsible for pedagogic and curriculum development with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity.
