The opportunity

We are recruiting a Learning Zone Advisor for weekday and evening support - the role will be based at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London and be part of our Library and Learning Zone team.

Week 1

Monday 08.30 - 16.30 OR 10.00 - 18.00

Tuesday 08.30 - 16.30 OR 10.00 - 18.00

Thursday 14.15 - 22.15

Week 2

Monday 08.30 - 16.30 OR 10.00 - 18.00

Tuesday 08.30 - 16.30 OR 10.00 - 18.00

Wednesday 10.00 - 13.30

Thursday 14.15 - 22.15

The Role

The post holder will contribute to the delivery and development of high quality student-focused resources and services.

The role involves participating in front-line services, administrative duties and in supporting senior staff with the supervision of the Learning Zone space. This includes:

  • assisting in the delivery of learning support, including induction sessions, workshops and 1-1's both in person and on-line
  • advising students in the use of the services and resources within the Learning Zone
  • offering specialist support for IT, audio-visual and reprographic equipment
  • knowledgeable guidance on the use of specialist software, electronic information resources and library materials
  • front line desk, directional and initial information enquiries
  • production and design of promotional and instructional guides which encourage students’ independent learning
  • support senior staff with the timetabling and supervision of the Learning Zone
 

About you

You should have a degree or library and customer service experience.

You will have excellent written and oral communication skills and be highly IT literate with specific knowledge of creative software.

You will have experience of supporting others with basic training

Working in a small team, you will provide positive and responsive customer service.
