The opportunity

University of the Arts London is seeking three inspirational and visionary Programme Directors to play a pivotal role at our School of Fine Art.

As Programme Director, you will provide astute academic leadership, managing the Programme and courses, whilst ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of high academic standards. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering an engaging curriculum, as well as overseeing all aspects of teaching, learning, and student assessment.

In addition to your core responsibilities, you will observe and implement University and college policies and procedures, working collaboratively with other Programme Directors, cross-college colleagues, and external partners to foster collaboration, projects, and opportunities for students within the School of Fine Art.

About you

You will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of contemporary Fine Art practice, pairing this with a strong academic background. You will possess a degree and a postgraduate qualification in a related subject area, or the equivalent demonstrated through practice. A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to undergo teacher training is essential.

Your experience will encompass course management and administration, including assessment processes and procedures. You will have a proven track record of Fine Art-related teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, as well as experience in curriculum planning, course development, annual monitoring, and course quality enhancement.

As an innovative thinker, you will apply new approaches to course leadership, teaching, learning, or professional practice to support excellent teaching, pedagogy, and inclusivity. You will utilise a set of exceptional communication skills to enable you to adapt messages for diverse audiences in an inclusive and accessible manner.

Interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 3 July 2023.

If you have any queries about the role, the application process or require reasonable adjustments for your application, please contact Christine Crouch, Resourcing Advisor at jobs.ccw@arts.ac.uk.
