The opportunity

We are seeking an outstanding, enthusiastic and ambitious postdoctoral research fellow, ready to undertake collaborative research on an exciting new research project funded by the AHRC, “Rethinking Fashion Design Entrepreneurship: Fostering Sustainable Practices”. The project is based at the Centre for Sustainable Fashion, a UAL research centre located at London College of Fashion.

You will support the UAL Principal Investigator and UAL Co-Investigators in the fulfilment of project deliverables and work streams and will independently research, collate and document key aspects of the project and facilitate its effective and efficient delivery. You will assist in researching and analysing the operations, business models and ecosystem of UK designer fashion micro and small enterprises. You will contribute to the final outputs of the research, in particular to the business support toolkit for sustainability for fashion businesses.

About you

You have a Doctoral qualification in design for sustainability practice, or design-led social and environmental innovation (or a similar field) or equivalent research experience. You will have experience and familiarity with a range of research methodologies including literature review, questionnaire design, interviews and case studies, together with knowledge of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
