The opportunity

We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual who enjoys working collaboratively and with colleagues, has strong administration and written/visual documentation skills, and who can take initiative, work to instruction, and consistently deliver to a high standard with a strong eye for detail.  The role will provide co-ordination support across a range of internal Knowledge Exchange (KE) development projects and initiatives, working with colleagues across UAL, as well as providing direct day-to-day support to the Director of KE.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple workstreams, working as part of a team, and delivering at pace.  It also represents a great development opportunity for an individual with existing administration and co-ordination experience, who is seeking to gain more project management skills and experience, and to develop their career in a creative higher education environment.

About you

You are a multi-tasker skilled at inclusive communication, stakeholder engagement, community building, and making connections across diverse workstreams to add value.  You have experience of co-ordinating and monitoring multiple projects and activity workstreams, as well as scheduling and clerking related meetings from which you pro-actively follow up actions.  You can also evidence your ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as part of a team.

You demonstrate great organisational skills and professional curiosity, and can conduct desk-based research and effectively manipulate, analyse and present performance data.  You can plan, prioritise and manage resources effectively to achieve objectives, and are able to suggest practical solutions to new or unique problems. You will ideally also have a good knowledge of the operational and policy environment of higher education – particularly as these relate to Knowledge Exchange.

In return, UAL offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.

Please submit your application as soon as possible, as should a sufficient number of applications be received this vacancy may close earlier than the stated closing date.
