The opportunity

In 2022, London College of Fashion will be moving to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as part of the exciting East Bank development, prioritising culture, education and innovation. We are moving so that we can finally bring all of our students and staff together, to increase opportunities for collaboration and to build a different community focused on fashion. To ensure the optimum student experience, we have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Dean to play a pivotal role shaping and influencing academic developments ahead of the move to Stratford.

As Associate Dean – Student Experience, you will be the academic lead for the enhancement of the student experience in relation to the organisation and management of the College’s academic provision, student engagement and communication.

You will identify issues relating to course organisation, management and communication and formulate action plans that will improve overall practice in course organisation, management, student engagement and inclusivity.

You will also work closely with the London College of Fashion Schools and Associate Dean of Teaching, Learning and Enhancement to identify developments to support improved student attainment, retention and continuation, as well as improving the College’s University Student Survey (USS), NSS and PTES metrics.

About you

You will need knowledge of educational pedagogy and current issues in FE, UG, PG and research with experience of shaping and influencing academic developments within Higher Education. You will also have experience of reviewing and identifying areas for improvement and leading the development of an inclusive and coherent curriculum.

You will also have a proven record of academic leadership and innovation in cross-disciplinary teaching and learning.

If you can motivate and drive developments through compelling and influential leadership we would be delighted to hear from you.
