The opportunity

Currently seeking teachers to be part of a pool in three areas: Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells, St Albans, and Cambridge.

This is an exciting opportunity to join UAL Future Creatives as we launch our programme to bring unique creative educational opportunities to children and young people around the UK.

Our courses are designed to allow students to enhance their art, design, creative thinking and communication skills in an inspiring and dynamic environment – and we are looking for teachers in various areas around the UK to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Our courses are designed for children between the ages of 7 to 11 (primary), and 11 to 17 (secondary), and will be taught in different formats including after school, weekend and holiday programmes. We are looking for teachers who can commit to delivering all or part of a programme, and are currently seeking teachers to be part of a pool in three areas: Tonbridge/Tunbridge Wells, St Albans, and Cambridge.

About you

We are looking for dynamic and inspiring teachers to be part of a pool of teachers in St Albans, Cambridge and Tonbridge/Tonbridge Wells, to deliver out of school, art and design classes to young people aged between 7-17.

You will be able to plan and deliver a block of art and design sessions that will develop and engage young learners. You will enjoy incorporating your own specialism and style and have a good understanding of the industry. You will have a PGCE, be working towards one or be a practitioner with teaching experience. You will be confident working with different age groups and be skilled at creating a fun, inclusive environment in which to learn.

You will be available to work a combination of Saturdays, school holidays and after school (sessions and times you deliver can be negotiated) have good organisational skills, including management of materials and be prepared to take first aid training (paid for by UALSC and your time) or provide a certificate if already qualified.

You may be a current art or design teacher in a school, perhaps working part time or have taken a break from teaching in a formal setting. If you feel you meet the criteria and are interested in this exciting opportunity we would like to hear from you.
