The opportunity

This role provides a great opportunity for a professional with analytical and investigative skills, to operate and manage access control systems on behalf of UAL. The role also involves maintaining the security to operate as per UAL policies. The successful post holder will also support the Facilities Team in fulfilling the necessary measures to safeguard all UAL buildings and also the staff and students of the University.

You will take the lead in responding to Helpdesk calls, resolving access control issues and resolving problems as promptly and effectively as possible.  You will have experience of a range of software 

systems (ideally student record and access control systems such as QLS, Salto and Controlsoft), have a track record of picking up new systems easily and have attention to detail.

You will manage processes and systems associated with changing access control groups, ensuring they remain fit for purpose, whilst also configuring sets of doors to meet the needs of the colleges and the university.

 

About you

We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual who works well to resolve problems in an efficient and timely manner and also has experience of adhering to internal policies at all times. You will be experienced with using various IT software and have interrogated and analysed a range of databases. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels in different forms.
