The opportunity

The Lecturer in Fashion Marketing is responsible for teaching, curriculum development, and on-going scholarship on the BA (Hons) Fashion Marketing course.

This course is part of the Marketing and Branding Programme in the Fashion Business School at London College of Fashion. As Lecturer, you will work collaboratively within a course team, deploying specialist expertise to develop pedagogy and the curriculum in innovative and critical directions.

The post-holder will be expected to undertake:

  • Responsibility for a year group of undergraduate students’ pastoral support, progress and attendance, maintaining records and liaising with colleagues as appropriate
  • Pedagogic and curriculum development that stimulate thought and practice that challenge the canon of Fashion Marketing with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusivity
  • Teaching in their specialist area relevant to the wide-ranging discipline of marketing in the fashion industry to expand the capacity of the course to ensure continued relevance to industry and academic rigour. Relevant specialist areas include branding, marketing, digital marketing and marketing analytics.
 

About you

An undergraduate qualification in marketing/fashion marketing or an associated subject is essential and a higher degree (e.g., MA) in marketing/fashion marketing or an associated subject is desirable.

Key to the role will be your relevant teaching experience in a higher education environment and ability to evidence research, knowledge exchange and/ or professional practice that contributes to the advancement of Fashion Marketing activity and is relevant to the goals of the Programme, College and University.
