The opportunity

Working at the intersection between University and College IT services. You will provide support to staff and students across our six campus sites, enhancing their digital experience.

The successful candidate will be working with the College IT coordinator within the Learning Technology Support department on delivering IT projects at LCF’s 6 campus sites across multiple disciplines and subject areas. Although main emphasis will be on delivery of College IT services, the candidate will be expected to further develop and support areas of specialisation within schools and departments in the College.

Provide a high quality one-to-one learning support with practical expertise in use of Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and Office 365, together with a broad understanding of complimentary digital technology and competencies is essential. Candidates will be required to deliver technical training or workshops to staff and students with a wide range of ability and skillsets, in open access or teaching spaces.

About you

•           Experience with Windows and/or Mac hardware maintenance and fault-finding on desktops, Mobile devices and printers is essential

•           Overseeing mid to large IT Projects with budgetary management would be advantageous.

•           Experience in hardware and software management would be advantageous

•           Experience of working with in a VLE/LMS to support technology enhanced learning is essential.

•           Knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, Cisco Switches and routers, Ciscoworks and HP Openview. CCNA Cisco certification would be advantageous.

•           Knowledge and experience in supporting MS Office and Adobe software suite is essential.

•           Knowledge and application in in, at least one of the scripting languages, Java, PHP, Python, Perl, .Net, Or other would be advantageous.

•           Knowledge of Helpdesk / Service Desk call logging / Service Management software will be an advantageous

•           Experience with ITIL would be advantageous

•           Adaptable and flexible to work at University sites across London is essential

 

Communication

•           You will be a self-motivated individual who is able to be adaptable and flexible and able to adjust to a new situations and environments

•           Effective oral and written communication skills, with a logical and sensible approach to tasks with a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration.

•           Ability to communicate with people at all levels, including the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical users
