The opportunity
Design Against Crime (DAC) Research Centre based at Central Saint Martins is looking for Research Centre Manager to provide effective and efficient project, financial management and co-ordination of the Research Centre, including its externally-funded research. In additon, Research Centre Manager is expected to provide similar support for enterprise/knowledge exchange, research augmentation and consultancy projects as well as close support to the Centre Director in terms of managing staff involved in research delivery.

Person specification:
- Extensive knowledge of design against crime/social design/socially responsive design.
- Extensive experience in co-ordinating design research projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Communicates effectively orally, in writing and/or using visual media.
- Motivates and leads a team effectively, setting clear objectives to manage performance.
- Uses effective teaching, learning or professional practice to support excellent teaching, pedagogy and inclusivity.
- Contributes to advancing professional practice/research or scholarly activity in own area of specialism.
- Plans, prioritises and organises work to achieve objectives on time.
- Works collaboratively in a team and where appropriate across or with different professional groups.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with students or customers.
- Uses initiative or creativity to resolve problems.
