The opportunity

The purpose of the role is to contribute to and further support the development of an immersive web-based AR/VR platform as part of the Erasmus+ Strategic Partnership in HEI funded project (grant agreement n. 2020-1-UK01-KA226-HE-094684) “ACCELERATE: Accessible immersive learning for art and design.

This includes developing new features of the platform as agreed by senior members of the staff on the project, maintaining the platform and supporting workshops and sessions by UAL students using the immersive platform. 

About you

In this role you will support the development of an immersive web-based AR/VR platform and support students in their use of the platform to realise art and design projects and to solve complex problems.

Applicants should have good knowledge of web architectures and frameworks relating to online VR environments, including webGL, GLSL and web sockets. Furthermore, you will need some experience in developing web-based interfaces for real-time media interaction.

You will also work with senior staff and ‘ACCELERATE” consortium partners to expand the capabilities of the platform to incorporate further collaborative AR and VR features and will have responsibility for the maintenance and operation of the platform. 

You will have a degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, such as: Creative Computing, Computer Science, or Computational Arts.
