The opportunity

Working as part of the Careers & Employability team within the Exchange the Educational Developer (Employability) will progress the strategic goal of embedding student enterprise and employability in the curriculum across UAL colleges using the Creative Attributes Framework.

The post holder will collaborate with other educational developers based in Academic Enhancement team, Arts Education team and Digital Learning team). This team will coordinate work to ensure that educational development approaches are joined up to support the delivery of high quality student outcomes across the student life cycle.

The role will provide development and support to course leaders and course teams building relationships and finding innovative ways to collaborate across the institution. The role will also lead on the work of the Employability Practitioners, innovate practice, and line manage the College Team. The role will entail working effectively across extended networks and partnerships, both internally and externally, and contributing to thought leadership in Employability and Enterprise in the creative sector with a strong  focus on diversity and inclusion

The post holder will work in partnership with students’ union and alumni to ensure that curriculum based approaches to enterprise and employability are fit for purpose. 

About you

Undergraduate degree in arts / humanities / social sciences. (essential) 

Postgraduate degree. (Desirable) 

Teaching qualification (PgCert or equivalent) (essential) 

Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (desirable) 

In depth understanding of Employability and Enterprise in Creative Education (Essential)

Experience of teaching in a higher education environment
