The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PR Officer to raise the visibility of Centre for Fashion Enterprise (CFE) and the Fashion & Technology -Emerging Futures (FTEF) project.

The FTEF project is delivered through the London College of Fashion’s business support platform Centre for Fashion Enterprise, and project delivery partners Hackney Council and CENTA. The project is a £4.8 million initiative supported by London College of Fashion in partnership with the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

 The main purpose of the role is to increase awareness of Centre for Fashion Enterprise and the Fashion & Technology – Emerging Futures (FTEF) project.

You will be responsible for creating and implementing an appropriate PR plan for the CFE and FTEF project to meet the key objectives of raising awareness, increasing profile and driving recruitment to the programmes.

You will also work on and attend events within London, to promote the CFE as well as promoting the outcomes and successes of the FTEF project by utilising connections with press contacts, media companies and organisations that may benefit the CFE and its supported businesses.

About you

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of the fashion industry at the high-end and luxury level and an understanding of micro and SME high-end fashion designer and accessory businesses, and ideally fashion tech businesses.

The candidate will have an established network of relationships with UK press and journalists across Fashion, and ideally FashTech, Business press & media (trade and consumer).

Experience of writing and preparing press releases and media content and handling press relations and securing press across all media is essential.
