The opportunity

This post offers an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, hard-working and experienced disability practitioner to join our innovative Disability Service.

You will work closely with your manager and colleagues to deliver advice and co-ordinate support for disabled students. You will provide advice to academic and support staff on how to meet disabled students’ access requirements and promote inclusive practices. You will participate in activities to develop the service and be given opportunities to develop an area of special interest.

About you

You will have experience of professional advice work. With a thorough understanding of the social model of disability and the Equality Act (2010), you will know how this applies to Further and Higher Education contexts. You will understand disability funding arrangements in Further and Higher Education and have expertise in developing and encouraging inclusive practices. You will have successful experience of working in a team, collaborating and problem-solving.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, a final salary pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available.

If you have any queries you may contact Lola Obileye, Academic Development and Services Recruitment Administrator via email: ADSRecruitment@arts.ac.uk or telephone: 020 7514 2965.
