The opportunity

We seek applications from practitioners, research active academics and high calibre educationalists with the motivation to lead on the development and delivery of our academic mission. We seek an individual who will take responsibility for growth and divergence in line with our strategic priorities. The role includes day to day management of quality enhancement in all areas of operation. The post holder will work to ensure that the academic strategy of the College and University is effectively interpreted and implemented for the primary benefit of the Performance Programme and Drama Centre, its staff and its students. The successful applicant will offer a significant contribution to the research and knowledge exchange environment and will encourage research and practice cultures within the Programme and across the community of the Programme. 

About you

We are looking for an experienced academic and practitioner with a proven track record of academic management at course or programme level. You should be able to demonstrate insight and leadership informing teaching and learning practices and in the enhancement of curriculum organisation or design. You should have a relevant history in an area of Performance practice, design or production, as either a researcher or practitioner, as well as outstanding credentials as a teacher of recognised merit. The Programme delivers courses in Acting, Directing, Screen Acting, Dramatic Writing, Character Animation, and Performance Practice and Design. The team has strong relations with professional organisations externally and has ambition to grow and diversify. You should evidence leadership skills in areas of collaborative practice and team building. We seek someone who can evidence their abilities in relationship building and who can demonstrate success in the delivery of project partnerships.
