The opportunity

This role is to work as part of a small team of researchers from across UAL during the final year of Creative Lenses, a four-year project (2015-2019) funded by the EC’s Creative Europe programme. UAL is one of 13 partners in nine countries involved in the project, which explores business model innovation in European cultural centres and performing arts organisations so they can be more resilient in the face of uncertainty. The purpose of this role is to lead in the production of the project evaluation and other research outputs from data produced during the project. This will include development of case studies and thematic analysis which describes and discusses business model innovation in arts organisations and cultural venues.

About you

You will have a PhD and research background in qualitative socio-cultural research. Your research will be drawn from at least two of these areas: cultural and creative industries research, business model research, innovation studies or social research. You’ll have experience of producing research outputs in collaboration with other researchers aimed at practitioners from the cultural and arts sector and making research findings accessible and useful to them and of working across disciplinary boundaries.
