The opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a contour fashion design specialist to play a key role contributing to the undergraduate Fashion Contour course at the London College of Fashion.

You will have a variety of responsibilities, such as undertaking teaching, unit management, curriculum development and research in fashion contour product design and development.

This will include delivering seminars, workshops and practical demonstrations on the process for creative and innovative design as well as 3D development, pattern-cutting and realisation of intimate apparel products.

We want our students to have inventive, assertive ideas and with your experience and guidance you will provide them with the skills, opportunities and freedom to put those ideas into practice.

If you have any queries about this role, you may contact the LCF Staffing Team at vacancies@fashion.arts.ac.uk

About you

Key to this post will be the ability to actively contribute to the organisation and management of the course and student experience and pastoral care. You will also need to be able to lead on flat and 3D pattern and garment development techniques, in addition to giving on-going tutorial support, constructive guidance and feedback.

Teaching and learning experience and/or equivalent industry experience in contour fashion design and product development is also essential.

In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, an attractive pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity.
