The opportunity



As an enthusiastic and passionate Information Security Manager you will provide overall leadership for the development, operations and improvement of the information security processes, policies, procedures and guidance across this large and complex organisation.


You will manage the Security Operations Analyst and will raise the awareness and importance of information security, implementing the appropriate frameworks to protect the University from security risks and build strong and trusted relationships across the University.

 


 

About you

  • Proven experience of implementing Security policies, processes and standards within a large complex environment.
  • knowledge of assurance frameworks and models such as PCI DSS, ISO27001 and ISO27002 is essential
  • Experience in the creation, development and maintenance of an Information Security strategy and roadmap.
  • Experience of Identification, assessment, analysis and management of risk
  • The translation of business, regulatory and legal requirements into Information Security developments and improvements.
  • A proven background of working at a senior level, driving the awareness and importance of Information security with various stakeholders and process owners across the University.
  • Any security accreditations such as CISSP/CISA etc would be advantageous but not essential

Communication

  • It is essential that you are able to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively, and can present compelling arguments that are both written and spoken.
  • You will have experience in building good relationships at all levels across stakeholder groups and partner organisations
  • You will be able to work effectively in cross-functional teams with both business and technical stakeholders
