The opportunity

This is an exciting new opportunity to lead, manage and support the development of academic Knowledge Exchange activities at the College in partnership with the College’s Director of Business and Innovation and School Deans, and reflects the growing importance of Knowledge Exchange at College and University level . The role is mainly academically oriented, requiring strategic, developmental and operational support for academic colleagues in developing Knowledge Exchange activities, as well as acting as an internal and external advocate for the Knowledge Exchange work done across the College and University as a whole. The postholder will also lead the development and promotion of work-based learning activity and employability across the curriculum more broadly.

About you

With a relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent, you will have extensive professional knowledge and experience of national Knowledge Exchange and Creative Economy agendas and the funding mechanisms and processes to support Knowledge Exchange and enterprise activity, in addition to a track record of developing Knowledge Exchange related strategic partnerships. You will also have knowledge and experience of work-based curriculum development and employability practice and innovation. You will have experience of shaping and influencing academic developments,  communicating in a compelling and influential way, and fostering an environment that makes change happen.
