The opportunity

You will lead, develop and manage our innovative Integrated Masters MSc Strategic Fashion Management. This involves leading the academic team, and making a major contribution to curriculum development and teaching on the course. We will also expect you to have strong ties with the international fashion industry and academic communities and to develop them further to enhance the student experience. You will work closely with our Diploma in Professional Studies Coordinator to help students through their placement year and contribute to our own specialist research projects. As you would expect, there is also a large management element to this role. As well as handling the day-to-day running of the course, you will manage budgets, help tutors develop their own expertise, advise them on best practice and play an increasingly influential role on Course Committees, Examination and Assessment Boards and other School, College and University Committees.

About you

You will need a relevant postgraduate degree (eg MA, MSc, MBA) or professional qualification with significant industry experience. A reputation for excellence in fashion management and strong communication skills are essential alongside experience of course and people management and of delivering a full teaching programme. In return, University of the Arts London offers generous leave, a final salary pension and a commitment to your continuing personal development and training in an environment that encourages excellence, creativity and diversity. Relocation assistance is available. If you have any queries about this role, you may contact the LCF Staffing Team at vacancies@fashion.arts.ac.uk.
