The opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to work directly with the Director of Planning and key stakeholders across the University. You will lead in our student number planning and target setting related activities alongside a portfolio of work which supports our academic planning. This will include the provision of data reporting, modelling and analysis aligned to our academic strategy and which meets the operational needs of the University.

The role will require you to think and engage strategically to deliver a range of activities that directly support strategic and operational planning. Undertaking the role of secretary to the Academic Planning Committee you will ensure that this committee operates effectively and supports our academic planning process. This will include building horizon scanning and market research capability, creating meaningful data narratives and providing analytical support to projects and initiatives.

About you

With substantial relevant experience gained in higher education or a related/comparable environment you will have a track record in successfully developing data modelling and reporting provision and undertaking qualitative/quantitative data analysis in support of a major organisation. Meticulous about accuracy and data quality you will be proficient in working with reporting tools and databases. You understand the role of data in decision making and are confident in using your analytical skills to draw conclusions and recommendations from complex and varied data sources.

 

You will likely be looking for a new challenge or be ambitious to progress your career to the next level. A diligent self-starter you will have excellent communication skills and be experienced in working with a wide range of stakeholders and presenting reporting outputs. Ideally you will have extensive knowledge of admissions, student and qualifications data and reporting requirements and an understanding of the current planning issues facing Higher Education institutions.
