The opportunity

This is a frontline role in Counselling, Health Advice and Chaplaincy Service, a busy dynamic team within Student Service. You will work closely with service managers, counsellors, health/mental health advisers and chaplains. You will respond to contact from students, colleagues within Student Services, academic and support staff across the university as well as external professional and parents.

You will work with the other administrative post holders to receive requests for information, advice and support. You be responsible the data quality on our student record and produce statistical reports for the service. You will be process invoices and have lead responsibility for maintaining and improving administrative procedures and service delivery.

This is a new post to support extended opening hours and will involve working on Saturdays (40 weeks a year). 

About you

You will be an experienced administrator with at least 5 years’ experience of working in a setting that provides confidential support to service users

As an experienced administrator, you will be an organised, confident and a skilful communicator, both written and verbally. You will be fluent in a range of appropriate IT platforms, programmes, corporate applications and digital media. You must be familiar with the use of databases and Microsoft Office applications and you must have experience of data entry and producing correspondence.

You are a skilled problem solver, with plenty of initiative. Crucially, you are a collaborative, supportive and customer-focused individual who can be adaptive to the environment.[

You’ll be able to liaise effectively with students, academics, professional and administrative colleagues across the Colleges and University. You can exercise sensitivity in responding to enquiries and needs
