The opportunity

This position is based within the University’s Student Funding Service and is based in the Student Centre at 272 High Holborn. In this varied and challenging role you will be providing management within the Service for the University’s dispersal of Funds from governmental and internal sources to its students. You will also be advising senior staff on development of institutional student funds initiatives. 

As part of your day-to-day work you can expect to manage the processes for the Student Loans Company student information, the allocation of discretionary funds. You will ensure relevant procedures are undertaken efficiently and effectively, liaise with organisations, such as the Student Loans Company and US Loans, and work closely with other specialist teams in the University. 

The Student Funding Service at University of the Arts London is an integral part of Student Services, and the student journey and experience as a whole. We aim to improve the student experience by providing professional duty and expertise in areas covered by the Student Funding Service.

About you

You will be an experienced education administrator, who is well versed in student finance processes, a methodical problem-solver with excellent communication skills, you will be thorough and have a keen eye for detail with the ability to manage staff. These skills and qualities will probably have been gained within a similar administrative setting within a University or College of Higher Education, or in a similar environment. 

It is essential that you have a good understanding of the student finance regulations, relevant application procedures and specific student finance arrangements for different categories of student funding.
