The opportunity

Working closely with multiple teams across the University, this role will enhance the support for the Digital Learning Platforms used at UAL. This will involve leading a small team to manage the Support Desk to deliver high quality end-user support, responding to day to day issues; identifying systemic issues and areas of process improvement; working with relevant colleagues to produce and maintain support and guidance materials; and building a respected and valued support service for staff and students.

Currently role will require remote working, this requirement may change in the future.


 

About you

We are looking for a Senior Digital Learning Support Coordinator with experience of supporting users across a complex and large organisation.

The successful candidate will have expertise in managing a User Help Desk and leading a small team to provide high-quality end-user support.

They will also be skilled in analysing support data; identifying areas for process improvement; and producing and maintaining guidance and support resources in a variety of formats.
Knowledge of digital tools and platforms commonly for teaching and learning is essential preferably within Higher Education or other public sector contexts.

 

Applicants should have: 

·       Undergraduate degree in digital/eLearning or equivalent discipline area 

·       Substantive knowledge of Digital/eLearning technologies (online and ‘in room’) which are commonly used in higher education

·       In-depth experience and knowledge of managing a Help Desk to deliver high-quality end-user support servicing a large and complex organisation.

·       Experience of successfully co-ordinating actions across multi-disciplinary teams 

·       Experience of managing a small team,

·       General digital media production skills to produce online guidance and resources 

·       Systematic approach to problem solving

·       Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
